Participating Characters: Volcana & Anyone would would have a reason to be in the area or following her
Forum Location: Metropolis
Time of Day: Late Morning
Weather: Overcast (Also N/A)
Thread Location: Former Cadmus Facility for Project Firestorm.
Premise: Volcana returns to the ruins of her long term captivity and training facility to gain some closure and make peace with her past.
Volcana’s boots thudded against the ground, muffled by the layers of ash on the ground of what was left of the Cadmus lab where she had been imprisoned. It seemed like a lifetime ago now. Particles floated in the air and there was an eerie stillness, a silence that suggested nothing living had been here in a long time. As the lab had been victim to a rather large explosion due to Volcana’s literal fiery rage consuming everything it touched after her escape, there wasn’t much left of the place, certainly no electricity and the further she descended into the facility, the darker it became. With barely a thought Volcana ignited a ball of fire that traveled beside her as she walked, eyes shifty frequently about the room looking for any signs of life or movement. Any signs of a trap- though, the idea that there was a trap was more than a little absurd.
This place had long been destroyed and subsequently abandoned. It was unlikely anyone had set foot in here since then. The fact that Volcana herself was here hardly made sense. Really, why she had decided to return to this place that had caused her so much misery and pain was a mystery even to her. Maybe there had been some deep subconscious programming on the part of Cadmus compelling her back to this place like some kind of brain-washed sheep. Maybe she just wanted closure to see that this place that had served as a prison and forced training facility for her had truly been destroyed. That Kurt had actually been killed in the explosion and that her vengeance had truly been carried out. Whatever the reason, Volcana had been drawn back to this place, the thought pulling at the back of her mind for months now and she couldn’t ignore the compulsion any longer.
Seeing the destruction everywhere, Volcana felt a sense of satisfaction at her work. This was one lab that wouldn’t be used to ruin or control anyone else’s life. It was barely recognizable between her flames and the explosion. Volcana was aware of how increasingly unstable the area around her was becoming and she expanded her flames to further light around her considering taking flight so as not to disturb the ground. Though much of the area was unrecognizable, Volcana had just turned down a tunnel that still held some familiarity to her. That alone was enough to fan the flames of Volcana’s memory, full of fury and thoughts of vengeance. Lifting just slightly off the ground, Volcana continued her journey deeper into the rubble.

[OOC: I'm open to anyone joining things- hero or villain- I just ask that you have an actual reason for being in this thread aside from just throwing your character in. Feel free to DM me ideas! I'll probably close this up once it gets a participant.]
