Premise: A Red Claw splinter cell have hijacked a train with hostages onboard. Batman and Deathstroke take on the terrorists with differing objectives.
"We are the soldiers of the Broken Talon. We have seized the weapons and equipment of the Bialyan military for our own use. We have also taken control of the medical supplies and staff sent to this country by the Wayne Foundation. Each of these resources will be put towards a less wasteful cause and to our more deserving needs rather than being squandered on the weak. We have loaded our spoils onto a train which will pass untouched through this country. To show our threats are not idle this train is carrying two tankers of rocket fuel. Any attempt to stop the train and we will detonate these tankers. Do not test us."
Slade waited under his camo tarp on the upper caynon overlooking the train tracks below. Broken Talon had made their route clear to the Bialyan government so that it would be cleared ahead of time, but while large military detachments were being shuffled around to avoid provocation this just left room for a lone operative to board the train.
The Bialyan government, at least the current regime, could do without losing face in front of their people and the world at large, not to mention wanting to answer for losing foreign medical volunteers to radical terrorists. As such they'd put word out into the back channels looking for a freelance operative to handle things for them. Either Broken Talon was taken out or the mercenary could take the fall for provoking them. It just so happened they'd managed to make a contract with the best in the business.
The advance came through quickly and was spent just as fast on the necessary equipment. Newly forged blades, low impact bullets to prevent piercing and igniting the fuel tankers or any other explosives onboard and a quick release parachute for the comparatively low jump onto the train. Intel said the Broken Talon were a splinter faction of former agents of the Red Claw, assuming their leader was deceased after her plane crash and looking to build their own reputation. Well trained but desparate and looking to make waves, bad combination. Each had a substantial bounty on their head which Slade intended to collect.
The train was in sight now. Deathstroke's advanced mental faculties calculated all the variables of the jump. He'd need to land on the back of the train to avoid the majority of the sentries and work his way forwards. That just left the poor sap at the rear of the train. Last one on first one off.
At the precise moment Slade threw aside his tarp and leapt from the canyon wall, pulling the cord of his parachute, made of clear material to reduce the odds of being spotted. Seconds later the parachute was jettisoned and the Terminator landed hard on the rear train car, sprinting forwards and slamming his full weight into the guard before he could react. The terrorist hit his head on the way down and was out cold, leaving Slade to prop him up in case anyone further down the train looked back. It didn't seem likely they would abandon their posts to head down for a chat.
"Sleep it off dummy. Maybe if the doctors aren't too sore about the kidnapping they'll give you and your friends the once over. The ones that survive anyways."
